Conclusion

Player-first opportunity to strengthen girls' soccer participation across Florida. By pooling teams, aligning divisions, and collaborating on governance, participating member leagues can deliver a better competitive environment for girls' teams.

Operating Philisophies

  • Serve the Game First

  • Collaboration Over Control

  • Challenge What Divides

  • Strengthen Local Identity

  • Act with Intent

  • Design to Scale

  • Embrace Progress

Proposed Solution

Establish one unified girls league registration and league brand under FYSA. Intended to be collaborative, scalable, and respectful of existing league structures, not a replacement.

Desired Outcomes

  • Increase game volume.

  • Improve competitive balance.

  • Expand opponent variety.

  • Better align teams by both age and developmental level.

Operating Structure

Regionally Based Operators

Support levels of centralization, staffing, and governance, the operational structure is intended to provide flexibility for participating Clubs.

The league is “owned” by the Florida Youth Soccer Association, with regionally based conferences. Leagues apply to operate a regional conference.

The league's operations are then governed by an Operator Agreement between FYSA and the League Operator.

Regional Based Operators

  • Panhandle - I10

  • North - EDP

  • West - USA

  • Central - GCF

  • South Florida (North) - EDP

  • South Florida (South) - SFPL

  • Recreational/Classic - GHSL for Region A*
